THANK YOU!
A Special thank you to all those who are working hard to enable our in-person worship. Thank you to Richard for arranging our music, to Nyle for our mid-week preparation and seat planning, thanks to our wardens and greeters for ensuring our safe gathering and to our readers and Eucharistic Assistants for assisting at the altar and leading us in prayer.
WINTER COAT AND BOOT DRIVE
We are collecting new or good conditioned Winter coats and Winter Boots for those in need through the winter months. Donations of coats and boots ONLY can be dropped off in the appropriate bins at the parking lot entrance. Please speak to Anne Washington for more information.
AUCTION!
We are planning a silent ‘phone auction on December 5th 2020 1pm-4pm.
This is how it works:
Everyone will receive a ‘catalogue’ of items for auction with a number to call to place a bid.
On the day, call to bid between the hours of 1-4pm.
If you are outbid we’ll call you back to see if you want to increase your bid.
At 4pm the winners will be decided and we’ll arrange to either drop your item off or to have you collect it from the church.
This is how you can help:
VOLUNTEER to be a ‘phone auctioneer, you must be available on 4th December and be willing to share your ‘phone number.
DONATE good quality items that are auction worthy as soon as possible!
BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!
To help us fundraise for the church, we need your books! Donate unwanted books , CDs and DVDs. While we are collecting all for a future sale, we are especially interested in first editions, folio editions, rare and or collectable books: Fiction, literature, poetry, non-fiction, biographies, political, first edition, limited printing. We’ve already made $450 through the sale of collectable books. These can be dropped off at the parking lot door to the church on Sundays, Mondays or Wednesdays.

ZOOM Coffee Hour
One of the things that people mentioned in the questionnaires which were submitted regarding the church re-opening was the fact that they missed the “social” aspects of the parish - meeting others over coffee … and even in the parking lot for chats!
Unfortunately, neither of these options are currently available. However, you can meet in a very casual atmosphere in the THURSDAY morning coffee hour from 10 - 11 a.m. on ZOOM. You are most welcome to join this group which is ever-evolving, flowing and always relaxing and fun. Serious topics may come up … but much of the time is spent “checking in” and keeping in touch during these difficult times.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK
Give us a measure of your Spirit
that we may be enabled to obey your teaching:
to pacify anger,
to take part in pity,
to moderate desire,
to increase love,
to put away sorrow,
to cast away vain glory,
not to be vindictive,
not to fear death;
ever entrusting our spirit to the immortal God.
Prayer of Saint Apollonius
