A desire to become a member of a Book Club, which meets one day a month on a weekday - except for the summer months, has been expressed by some members of St. James.  You would meet in each others' homes once a month; taking turns hosting and presenting a book everyone has read.  The presenter is the person who recommended the book.  If you would like to become a member of this group, please contact the office 905-627-1424 or stjamesdundas@outlook.com

Newcomer Update!

St. James is delighted to report that may of our newer congregation members have found housing and jobs. Some continue to look for jobs.  If you, or anyone you know has a half day doing yard work or spring cleaning there are many folks ready to assist you as they await permanent jobs.  For a labour position $20-25 an hour is the current norm.  The newcomer folks are enthusiastic hard workers.  Contact For more information contact the office 905-627-1424 or stjamesdundas@outlook.com

We continue to be asked what items the newcomers might benefit from.

As summer proceeds a bicycle is a wonderful means of exploring Hamilton and a means to get to work.  Laptops/computers are critically important for people looking for work or taking courses.  If you have one not being used there is a home for it.  Other items that are always needed are pots and pans, ovenware, cutlery, microwaves, electrical appliances, flat screen TV's double and queen sheets and bedding. If you have any of these items contact the office 905-627-1424 or stjamesdundas@outlook.com

The newcomers are overwhelmed by your generosity.  Many thanks for all of your support.
