Our Vestry meeting will be held on ZOOM at 11am on Sunday 14th February 2021.

The Vestry Report can be read here:

The ZOOM information will be sent out the week prior to Vestry.

The Financial reports will be sent out as soon as they are returned to us from the Accountant.

Please let Mike know as soon as possible if you wish to stand for Parish Council or one of the other positions. Nominations and notice of new business must be sent to Mike prior to the start of the meeting.

Ash Wednesday is Wednesday 17th February. There will be a special live-streamed service at 10am that morning on Facebook.

LENT COURSE 2021: Prayer

A course exploring ways of praying will be led by Mike via Zoom on Wednesdays during Lent at 7pm starting on Wednesday 24th. See the attached flyer for more details. To take part, please email Mike Deed at mike.stjamesdundas@gmail.comto register.

One way to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly this Lent is to change our habits and practices to care for God’s creation. A resource called ‘A Fast for the Earth’ prepared by the Diocese of Toronto is recommended as a meaningful guide by our Environmental Justice Team and will be available on our website.

Our Sunday worship will be posted on YouTube Sunday afternoon for those who do not want to watch via Facebook. Find the link on the front page of our website or here:

Join us this Thursday for a wee chat … to look back at Groundhog Day … to look forward to Valentine’s Day, Vestry and Vaccinations … and anything else that comes to mind.

Monday 1stFeb Mark 5.1-20

Tuesday Luke 2.22-40

Wednesday Mark 6.1-6

Thursday Mark 6.7-13

Friday Mark 6.14-29

Saturday Mark 6.30-34

Sunday Mark 1.29-39

God of the universe, We thank You for Your many good gifts – For the beauty of Creation and its rich and varied fruits, For clean water and fresh air, for food and shelter, animals and plants.

Forgive us for the times we have taken the earth’s resources for granted And wasted what You have given us. Transform our hearts and minds So that we would learn to care and share, To touch the earth with gentleness and with love, Respecting all living things.

We pray for all those who suffer as a result of our waste, greed and indifference, And we pray that the day would come when everyone has enough food and clean water. Help us to respect the rights of all people and all species And help us to willingly share your gifts Today and always. Amen.
